Below, please find some important announcements from Doral Soccer Club regarding the upcoming 2008-2009 season:

As it was recently announced by Eddie Marles, Managing Director of AC Milan for North and Latin America, the AC Milan Program will remain in Doral with the Doral Soccer Club for the upcoming 2008-2009 season.

We are very excited with the continuation of the AC Milan Program in Doral as more benefits are added and the whole program is enhanced.

One of the benefits that some of our players and teams got to experience this year, was the Friendship Cup in Milan, Italy and the Continental Cup (now the AC Milan Continental Cup) in Cleveland, Ohio.  The overall feedback from the parents and players that participated in these tournaments was very good.  Our Club’s players and teams will have the same opportunity next year but with almost a full year ahead of planning to raise money through fund-raisings, sponsorships, and donations to make these great events more affordable for everybody to participate.  As soon as we have the dates we will let you know.

AC Milan is opening an AC Milan Academy in Key Biscayne, which will help both clubs in different ways; for example, both clubs will discuss the possibility of joining forces to organize a local AC Milan Invitational Tournament and/or other fund-raising events.

For those of you who have ideas or suggestions on how to make the Doral Milan a better youth soccer club now is your opportunity.  We are looking for volunteers willing to dedicate their time & work, and be an integral part of the Club as member of the Board of Directors or of the different committees that are going to be created to help us administer and run the Club.  Those of you that are interested, please let us know as soon as possible.

This week and next week, from 9:00 AM through 3:00 PM, we are conducting the AC Milan Junior Camp at Doral Middle School.  Regular program practices are being conducted also at Doral Middle School in the afternoons until August 15.  After August 15, we will be back at Doral Park.
